Bubbling Chemistry Potions 2024
Description
During this workshop, Junior and Cadette Girl Scouts will follow along and conduct four bubbling science experiments. Girl Scouts will use supplies at home to complete the experiments together.
Girl Scouts will join an experienced science teacher to learn and DO bubbling chemistry experiments! Join us for this exciting NEW STEM workshop!
Junior Girl Scouts will earn the Junior STEM Career Exploration badge and Cadette Girl Scouts will earn the Cadette STEM Career Exploration badge.
EXPERIMENTS INCLUDE
Fizzy BalloonGirl Scouts will use water, vinegar, and baking soda to inflate a balloon.
Elephant ToothpasteGirl Scouts will use get creative to make a foaming toothpaste fit for an elephant! Ingredients include yeast, water, hydrogen peroxide, soap, and food colorings.
Lava LampGirl Scouts will create unique lava lamps using household ingredients - including vegetable oil, water, Alka Seltzer tablets, and food coloring.
Dancing PopcornGirl Scouts will make popcorn kernels jump in this fun experiment! Ingredients include soda and popcorn kernels.
This workshop will be held live using Zoom.
