Young people should develop leadership skills because it helps them build self-confidence and resilience, which are essential for navigating the challenges of adolescence and beyond. Serving on a board is a great way to develop those skills!
Aspiring leaders are invited to serve on the Board of Directors of First National Girl Bank. Working together virtually, participants will create a virtual community and work together to run the bank. As members of the Directorate, girls will also learn how to run a business successfully. This series will span four meetings and will include learning about lending and deposits. The series will conclude with participants discovering bank fraud and confronting the accused bank employee!
Junior Girl Scouts can earn the My Money Plan and Digital Leadership badges. Cadette Girl Scouts can earn the My Money Habits and Digital Leadership badges. Badges are included with price and will be shipped after the workshop concludes.
The Board will meet four times during this series from 5pm until 6pm Eastern.
